Getting access
Access to the API is for organisations that work with Welly under an agreement: doctors and clinics, medical companies and pharmacies. This is how it goes, from your first message to live data.
1. Tell us what you need#
Use the contact form. Say who you are, which organisation you are from, and what your system should do with Welly. A person at Welly reads every message and answers by e-mail.
Do not send patient data through the contact form. Describe the integration, not the people.
2. Agreements#
Before any key reaches member data, we sign two things with you:
- Partner terms: what you may build and do with the API, and what we promise in return.
- A data processing agreement: how personal data is handled between us under the GDPR, since what Welly holds about its members is health data.
3. Build with test keys#
You get a test key, wk_test_…. It works only on invented data, so you can build and test as much as you like without touching a real member.
Keys are not issued yet. Authentication describes how they will work.
4. Go live#
When your integration works on test data, we look at it together. Then you get a live key, wk_live_…, which reaches the members your agreement covers, and only them.
Keys are secrets#
A key belongs on your server, never in a browser, an app or a repository. If a key may have leaked, tell us and we revoke it at once.
